The making of the plates was inspired by Christopher Alexander's philosophy that good design comes from the ability to see that all things are connected within a system no matter how different they appear to the human eye. With this in mind, I wanted each plate to have its own function when standing alone, but also play a role in a bigger system it belongs in.
